Lights We Love: LEO MK2
LEO MK2: the friendly task lamp
There’s nothing more quintessential to the modern home than a task lamp. A good task lamp embodies all the best aspects of great design—functionality, simplicity, durability, and timelessness.
Without a doubt, our favourite task lamp here at LightForm is the LEO MK2 by Nemo.
Designed by Jehs and Laub, German designers who believe that “a table-and-working lamp is an assistant, a friend—significant and easy to recognize.”
LEO MK2 comes in an incandescent or halogen version, with the option of a silver grey or white chrome finish. You can also choose from different base accessories such as a table inset, desk clamp, or wall mount accessory. LEO MK2 is ideal for multiple applications such as desktop, side table, or bedside—any location where directed light is needed.
With incredible flexibility and a seamless aesthetic, LEO MK2 is easily recognizable and sure to become a design classic—just as its creators had envisioned.
Starting at $469. Stop by one of our showrooms to see LEO MK2 in person or call us for more details.

Highlights From Milan
Last month we made our annual pilgrimage to Milan for international design shows Euroluce and Salone
There’s no better place for inspiration than Milan during international design week, which hosts Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Euroluce, and hundreds of other design events, installations, and temporary museums that bring the city to life for seven days.
We made our annual pilgrimage a few weeks ago, and as always, came back inspired and re-energized. If you haven’t already, check out our new blog and twitter account; we’ve been updating them with the sights and sounds from the events.
While it would be daunting to lump all the amazing new collections we saw into a few “trends,” one strong theme did emerge at the show: a renewed commitment to the North American market. Proof of this commitment? New stocking programs that provide faster delivery, and products that comply with North American standards (i.e., compact fluorescents and LED).
Ultimately, this means that the timeless designs we’ve grown up coveting are more accessible than ever. Canadians have been supporting great design for years, and now that support is being wholeheartedly reciprocated. Without a doubt, that’s the best news out of Milan this year.
LightForm on the Move
Our new Toronto space under construction
New stocking programs require bigger spaces, so we’ve been busy making preparations in Calgary and Toronto. Stay tuned for news about our new showrooms opening this summer in both locations. Translation: parties coming soon.
Check out our tribute to the old lighting manufacturer that used to inhabit our new Toronto location… BE ADVISED, images may disturb some viewers.
Attend this year's ICFF in New York...
LZF generated a lot of buzz at last year’s ICFF with its two-storey high illuminated timber butterfly
…vicariously through LightForm! From May 14-17 LightForm will be in New York at North America’s singular showcase for contemporary design, the ICFF. This event brings together the latest and most exciting names in contemporary furniture, lighting, interiors, and accessory design. More than 550 international exhibitors will showcase new trends, challenge old conventions, and inspire over 23,000 design enthusiasts that are expected to attend.
LightForm will be there to learn and share it all with you. Follow us on Twitter and check out our Blog to get the inside scoop on this year’s ICFF. We’ll be updating you with pictures and stories from the fair.
