About Us
Richard Assaly founded LightForm in 1987, bringing a select few, well made and well designed lighting brands to Edmonton, Alberta. Raised in a family of interior designers, architects and builders, he understood astutely that lighting not only reflects the contemporary spaces it occupies but indeed, comes to define them. This led him to seek out strong partnerships with those lighting manufacturers that were exemplary producers – those who led the industry in craftsmanship as well as innovation in design.
More than 20 years later, LightForm is a leading national lighting supplier with 4 offices and 3 flagship showrooms across Canada. Our showrooms in Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto showcase some of the most unique and iconic collections in lighting and offer the space and the expertise to designers and architects to consult on the best lighting solutions for their residential, commercial and hospitality projects.

We are an educated and passionate team of qualified lighting consultants who put design first. We have a long-standing interest in the history of the brands we sell and the culture of design that surrounds them.
